Sector 2 Crime Weekly Update
For the Bancroft, Bryant Central, Corcoran, Powderhorn Park and
Standish (North of E. 42nd Street) Neighborhoods
Recent Burglaries
On 6/18/2015 the following notice was sent on the MPD Sector 2 email network:
Since 6/14/2015, there have been four residential burglaries reported
in the area between E. 35th St to E. 38th St, 22nd Ave S to 25th Ave
S. The most common time frame appears to be from 2:30am to 5:30am.
Three of the burglaries were interrupted by residents who were home at
the time. Suspects(s) fled as soon as soon as their presence was known
by the residents. The most common method of entry is through unlocked
windows/doors.
Suspect descriptions are somewhat similar. In one incident, suspects
are described as a white male, 16-17 years of age, 5’8”-5’10”, light
build short brown hair and a white female, 16-17 years of age,
muscular build, brown long pony tail. The second victim described
their suspect as a white male. 5’10”, 20-25 years of age, light build,
rough beard, wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts and in the 3rd
burglary, the suspect is described as an unknown male with a pony
tail.
Update
On 6/19, a suspect was arrested after another burglary similar in
nature on 6/19. The suspect is a juvenile so there is limited
information that can be released at this time. The 3rd Precinct
Property Crimes Unit and the MPD Juvenile Unit are continuing their
investigations into any information on additional suspects.

removing or cutting a screen on an unlocked window (2).
Loss: bikes, electronics, cash, medication, tools.
Garage
34xx 26th Av S 6/17 time unknown
Entries made by breaking a hole in siding to open door.
Loss: bikes, tv.

Business Crimes
There were no business robberies and one business burglary.
On 6/20/15 @ 2:25 am, two juveniles gained entry to Roosevelt High
School at 4029 28th Av S through an unlocked window. Both suspects
arrested. Loss: none.
There was one auto theft report and no theft from motor vehicle.
There were two robbery of person in the Sector during this time period.
30xx 13th Av S (6/20 @ 8:10am): Officers were dispatched to the
address where Victim met us. Arrested party was taken into custody.
Arrested party was transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked for
PC Robbery of Person.
12th Av S/Lake St E (6/20 @ 12:30pm): Officers responded to Abbott
Northwestern Hospital regarding a Robbery of Person. Victim reported
being robbed and stabbed near the listed location.
