II. Any Other Business * 82 Edmands Road Status Update and Project Review
At the last meeting on this subject (early August) the parties were advised
that unless the flooding problem and general state of the property were
addressed by tonight's meeting, the Board might rescind the approval of the
RCS application. There was also a court date set between the parties for
earlier this week where they had some optimism of settling which would allow
the project to go forward.
As of a couple of days ago, the owner apparently decided the Board was
serious and planted a set of bushes way back on the property, nowhere near
meeting what our understanding of the requirements were. I half expect
they'll do some more today but who knows. Also as of last week the flooding
problem had not been fixed.
At the August meeting, having people there pushing the Board to take action
actually seemed to make a difference. Although this Dover project could not
be fought despite the inappropriateness of the site for the use (anyone
traveling Edmands in the morning will enjoy the addition of significant bus
and individual car traffic) coming to the meeting to let them know that the
parties leaving the property in this state of disrepair for well over a year
is an insult to the neighborhood and cannot be overlooked.
Thank you,
Carol Levin
