hi-rises, and Light Rail station face the risk of being hit by car. Given the
high number of pedestrians and cyclist who cross this street, the city of Mpls
should install pedestrian crossing signs. I observed this imminent danger about
6 years ago when I use to work there and tried to contact the city to encourage
them to install signs and recently CM Cam Gordon but nothing happened so far.
Today I contacted Anna Flintoft, Transportation Planner
Minneapolis Dept of Public Works - Transportation Planning and Engineering
309 2nd Avenue South - Room 301, Minneapolis, MN 55401

who somewhat reluctantly said: I will look into it and get back to you on
Monday.
I also reported the issue thru this website

Although the city of Mpls calls itself "pedestrian friendly", in this
neighborhood it is bluntly the opposite of that. Please contact the City of
Mpls and tell them this is a safety issue and we need pedestrian signs on this
location before someone gets hurt. City of Minneapolis sends its employees to
this neighborhood to harshly enforce traffic laws while at the same time it
refuses to offer very basic services such as this one. I don't its fair!
