Now that the stucco is off the Diner building, it is interesting to see how
small the original building was.

What's going to happen to the building? Who will be the new occupant?

The new occupant is Common Ground Meditation Center - who have been
located in the old dance studio on 34th Ave. at 26th St. for many
years.  Quite a change from the old days when bars and liquor stores
populated the corners of 26th & 27th Ave's.  I love seeing the old
paneling from by-gone days... like the 400 Bar (at Cedar/Riv) which
when the bricks started falling last year they removed the steel
front to reveal the old "Drug Store" painted front from the (18)90's.

Common Ground Meditation Center owns the building and will move in after
renovation. CGMC is presently on the NE corner of 26th St and 34th Ave.

If you're doing any kind of meditation practice, there are open
meditation times each morning and some evenings. There are also
classes and lectures on Vipassana Buddhism.

The Center has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. I believe
it's related to the practices of the current administration.  :-)
