Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course.*
*Saturdays and Sundays May- July 2019*
This 4th annual course <http://twincitiespdc.com/> includes 72 hours of
standard Mollison PDC course work, with an emphasis on practical urban
systems and a focus on social design in our work. As facilitators of the
Twin Cities’ longest-running PDC course, we are constantly tweaking and
expanding our curriculum. This year, we will be partnering with Powderhorn
Park Neighborhood Association to design a community garden space for their
office! We are thrilled to be working with PPNA again this season.
Spread out over 5 weekends, the course blends classroom and experiential
learning by partnering with local sites currently implementing permaculture
systems. Participants have the chance to get hands-on practice and see
living examples of permaculture, and learn from people putting the
principles and ethics into action int their work, including places like
Open Arms Farm, and projects like Renaissance Soil and Backyard Fungi.
We offer a “pay what you can” fee structure and payment plans and work
trade options can be negotiated. We also love to barter. We want the PDC to
be as accessible as possible; if you have questions about pricing and
payment options, just email and ask!
Our team has a combined 5+ decades of experience in the fields of
permaculture, social and environmental justice, homesteading, and community
organizing, and we’ve led or taught at over 20 PDC courses in the US and
around the world.
Some of this years confirmed presenters include Sam Grant, Koby
Jeschkeit-Hagen <http://seedsages.com>, Dan Halsey

*“I couldn’t have asked for a better way to be introduced to the
possibility of permaculture as a tool for social and personal
transformation. Big River’s Urban PDC brought together the practical and
the visionary, the innovative and the inspirational. Recommended for anyone
who wants to enact change for the greater good.”- CW*
Registration is open, with a “pay what you can” fee structure. Payment
plans and work trade options can be negotiated, and we have a few partial
scholarships available.
