I was stunned by the use of this forum to direct such a vicious and undeserving attack on long serving Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board members John Erwin and Scott Erwin. Thank you, John, for your well-crafted response. And thank you John and Scott for all of the good work you do on behalf of all of us park lovers.
With all due respect, Arlene, your bias toward the status quo is showing. I didn't read in this forum a "vicious and undeserving attack" on Commissioners Erwin and Vreeland, but rather open discussion of differing perspectives and priorities related to important issues of interest to constituents that (I think) need to be part of the conversation about the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
I consider Commissioner Erwin's statements that other candidates are intentionally misinforming and supplying false information just as negative as any other statements made on this topic. And if you choose to defend individual Commissioners and thank them for well-crafted responses, please be fair and extend the same courtesy to Commissioner Bourn, who is equally deserving and who has been the subject of numerous "vicious and undeserving attacks" by other Commissioners, on this forum and others.
Whether it is comments from the Erwin brothers, Wilbur, Louis or Suzanne, nothing Steve Minn says or does can be taken very seriously except the bottom line, and that sounds like what MPRB was looking at in spite of what and who came before them years ago.
