Brookes. My dissertation seeks to investigate the differing perceptions older
and younger adults have of their memories and how these perceptions may affect
general psychological well-being in both younger and older adult groups.
The research only takes 35 minutes per participant and could improve our
understanding of processes affecting mental health and well-being in older
adults as well as being interesting for those taking part.
The questionnaires people are asked to fill out have all been cleared by the
University Ethics Committee and are straightforward and harmless. Most
participants I have tested so far have enjoyed the experience and found it
rather insightful. I will be present with you during the tasks to explain
things and answer any questions you may have. In fact, many older participants
I have tested prefer to dictate their answers for me to write down.
If anyone is interested in taking part I have attached an information sheet on
the study, my full contact details are on the information sheet. Please get in
contact and we can arrange a time and place to do the study.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Kindest Regards,
Cathal
