2 p.m. - Friday, June 20, St. Paul Rondo Outreach Library, Dale and Univ.
Check out CTEP's DigiDaze booths before and after the presentation at
Rondo Library.
Come learn:
1. 10 awesome things neighbors do online
2. Terrible national stats on the civic participation divide online
3. Lessons on inclusively connecting your neighbors online on ANY* platform
4. A mini-intro to the $1.5m Knight Green Line Challenge: http://bit.ly/kglc
The presentation includes many stories from our largest and most
successful Neighbors Forums in Minneapolis - including a number of
forums which reach ~30% households most weeks. In fact, the recent
Minneapolis Digital Inclusion Survey found that residents in
Standish-Ericsson participate civically online daily/weekly at TWICE
the rate city-wide: http://bit.ly/2xparticipation (wow!!! - and three
of the four other leaders are covered by our largest Neighbors Forums)
If you can't make it, the draft slides - http://bit.ly/june20workshop
- are already up and a similar presentation at the UN in NYC was
recorded: http://bit.ly/newvoicesvideo
RSVP not required, but let us know if you hope to attend or have any
questions: <email obscured> contact (at) e-democracy.org
*By "any" we seek to share lessons (and gather stories from other
emerging platforms) on how to be FAR more inclusive using Facebook
Groups, NextDoor, and other platforms so neighbors connecting no
matter where it happens online better reflects the actual diversity of
our neighborhoods!
