This happens in a lot of n'hood orgs. for a variety of reasons. However, there is no excuse for how it happened. Anyone with some smarts knows not to treat employees that way.
One of the posters in that thread pointed out that the 15-member board has 7 vacancies - might there be quorum problem with that board? By firing their staff, will the board know where the brooms, mops, and pails are when the need comes. Board members of orgs are infamous for leaving all sorts of detritus behind for someone else (staff) to tidy up.

The quorum of the Nokomis East Board is 50% of current board members and effective Saturday that will be 7. The termination did not have anything to do with budget or lack of money. Maybe the Chair of Vice Chair could come on here and explain themselves. Good luck on that happening.
