should resign from my service as a citywide Park Commissioner on the
Minneapolis Park Board. The issues that have bubbled up over the use of
Roundup at Loring Pond and the responses I am getting from staff are making
me think twice about my worth on the Board.
I have fought for 25 years for the reduction of the use of chemicals in the
parks and for years thought we had actually quit using Round Up so this
latest scene and actions have made me sick - just plain sick. And I don't
know if I can take it any longer. feeling that my time and energy goes
unheard of by staff. There is so much information out there about cancer,
carcinogens and what they do to our bodies I just can't believe we are doing
this not only to people but to the wildlife, birds and other species who
live here with us.
What am I to do? Lots of soul searching these next few days because I have
just about had it folks. This is taking me over the edge.
