promote Neighbors Forums all across St. Paul.
New forums are starting all across the city including brand new
volunteers in the West 7th, the West Side, Mac Groveland. See:
http://tcneighbors.org
With our initial volunteer forum leader for the Hamline Midway
Neighbors Forum is too busy right now, you can be the one who
"e-connects" local neighbors like never before.
As the volunteer Forum Manager, we will help you get to 100 initial
members (46 currently) and open with a round of friendly
introductions. We will also connect you with the new class of forum
volunteers for some training and support. How about it? Are you ready
to make something happen? Contact us at: <email obscured> or
http://e-democracy.org/contact
To get a sense of the wonderful "community life" our
e-mail/web/Facebook/Twitter "combined" approach supports check out
these example forums:
http://e-democracy.org/se - 700 members, 15%+ of households in Standish
Ericsson
http://e-democracy.org/poho - Powderhorn Park with 600 member
What is very very different about these new forums form our important
city-wide forums, is that neighborly community exchange - from who can
recommend a good plumber to discussion of specific crime incidents to
announcements from park staff - is the primary engine. Issues-based
civic discussions are still embraced and in fact with the more open
format such discussions reach far more people.
