Does anybody round Marksbury Road way fancy helping to clear out the malago
stream behind Marksbury Road/Bedminster Road way? Now would be a good time,
before the weeds and rampant Japanese Knotweed once again obscures the feast of
filthy plastic bags/brollies/boxes/take your pick?
I'd love to get stuck into this and leave malago green space slightly less
depressing (it is called a green space, so I imagine the gaudy litter isn't
supposed to be there!) but I'm not doing it on my own! Have the council got any
responsibility for this, does anyone know?
not to mention the broken-bottle-tastic 'youth shelter' horror. Gloves
essential!

Hi Stephanie
Count me in, and I'll announce it on the Bristol Permaculture Group mailings
and hopefully drum up some more people - we're slowly spreading permaculture
beyond Easton and infiltrating south Bristol!
Stephanie I found this site - apparently rivers don't belong to anyone. I'm not busy tomorrow so I'll pop down and have a look and see if I can find out who the land belongs to. http://www.ukrivers.net/adopt-a-river.html
It might be worth getting in touch with Christopher Orlik (he was Cllr of
Windmill Hill)as he has done a lot of clearing and cleaning the Malago. He took
goodness knows how many shopping trolleys out of the river. His email is
