Patients and the public are being invited to show their support for the NHS by joining a new membership scheme launched by the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals (ORH), which runs the John Radcliffe and Churchill in Oxford, and the Horton in Banbury. Isn't this about giving some credibility to the idea of the Trust becoming a
Foundation Trust? It certainly seems to be so from the Trust's website.
Thus, I'm not convinced that this would be "showing support for the NHS" as I
believe that the point of such Foundation Trusts is that they act independently
(but within the overall scope of the NHS). Is this a healthy development?
