We have about a dozen abandoned bikes in the bike shed. Some are in fairly good
condition with good tyres. Is there someone where they can be repaired/
recycled and made available to people either through charities or the council?
Unfortunately I think bike dumping might become a bigger problem, so is there
somewhere where people could exchange an old bike for something, or some
incentive to encourage people not to dump?

If no-one knows here you might want to put this on the B&H Freecycle site -
charities etc. often take things and if there is such an organisation to repair
bikes someone will probably know .

I had the same problem, and Paul collected them all.
Not sure what the charity angle is but it seems like a good cause.

There's also Shabitat on Lewes Road (nr Sainsbury's.)
I beleive they have a workshop for repairing old bikes for re-sale.

Hope this helps, Dave
