Subject: An urgent message from Bristol City Council
To: "E-Democracy.Org" <<email obscured>>
Dear Colleagues,
Bristol City Council invites you to participate in our consultation on
‘Creating Social Value in Bristol’. We are seeking feedback on the
Council’s Social Value Policy and Toolkit which will help commissioners get
the best out of service contracts for the City and people of Bristol.
Please go to
https://bristol.citizenspace.com/business-change/creating-social-value
What is Social Value? The Social Value Act asks public bodies to consider
wider benefits to the local area when awarding service contracts. This
means that providers will need to think about additional social, economic
or environmental benefits they can deliver for the area they are servicing.
These can include, for example, offering local employment opportunities or
supporting community engagement through volunteering.
How can I contribute? We invite you to share your views by filling the
survey on the consultation website at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Bristol-Social-Value. This will take
approximately 15 minutes of your time. The consultation will run until 8th
January 2016.
Please cascade this message as appropriate.
We look forward to hearing from you.
