celebrate. There is no violence, no incidents, just a great party.
I don’t need press to validate the experience, but I am kind of bemused that
the Strib, did not even mention it.
This multi-cultural community festival has employed artists, attracted
volunteers, and massive crowds for over four decades. It is known nationally
as the Mardi Gras of the north and is on many a bucket list. I have never
missed one, and my children travel from far and near to be here every year.
The community is straining to support the annual festival, and resources are
dear. I just wish there was more recognition of this remarkable community
event to help it continue.
