is moving out of Threeways House in George Street, and hopes to move to the
offices over Londis (the building is apparently called Victory House, which I
never knew).
Abacus has submitted planning application 12/02482/FUL for the first and second
floors of the building for "Change of use from use class B1 (offices) to use
class D1 (educational)". (These offices have been empty for over two years, so
it would be hard to argue that they are much-needed.)
The school has between 120 and 150 students (two-thirds of whom attend at any
one time) studying for GCSEs and A-levels, plus 12 full-time and 20 part-time
staff.
I am unclear what is happening to Abacus's other arm, the Oxford Language
Centre: http://www.olcoxford.co.uk/
The floor-space would be a little bigger than that on their current site, and
access would be from Windmill Road.
