Tony, do you really believe there is any hope in winning over the State Senate?
The only way to win over the State Senate is to beat them in the next election.
And that's two years from now, not four years, because of redistricting. Two
Senate seats were lost to Republicans in 2020 because of the clever Roger
Stone-type dirty trick of Republicans running a Legal Marijuana candidate to
syphon off votes from the DFL candidates. The DFL must come out for legalizing
marijuana and have it blocked by the Senate. This will be an issue that will
motivate young voters to go to the polls, and it would eliminate the threat of
leaking to a third party.
The question of how to restructure City government and how to gain control of
an overtly racist police force is a proper topic for discussion in this forum.
Clearly, the current MPD is out of control. Officers are getting away with
murder. This must change.

Out-state MN also includes Austin, MN.
Max Nesterak, Minnesota Reformer<https://minnesotareformer.com/>:
A marijuana candidate seems to have affected at least one state senate race,
with Gene Dornink edging out Sen. Dan Sparks, DFL-Austin, by just over 1,500
votes. Legal Marijuana Now candidate Tyler Becvar won over 2,500 votes. Becvar
posted a video for his putative opponent Dornink on his Facebook page in May,
according to a screenshot obtained by the Reformer. His Facebook page was also
filled with support for President Donald Trump and attacks on Democrats.
The Strib this morning talks about a united DFL versus a united Republican
Party on the issue of legalization. Walz supports it. It will pass the House
and be killed by the Republicans in the Senate and be the big issue that will
win for the DFL in 2022:

Have you ever campaigned in Hanley Falls or New Ulm?
In out-state MN there is animosity about the Metro life style and political
clout. In my opinion, the pro Marijuana percentage and the no-Metro-leaders in
the Legislature percentages are about equal.
Just saying. Make America Great Again to them means go back to things as they
like to think they were.
Local schools, local police, local Doctors and hospitals, local courtship, etc
