Hello All-
I have never needed to use child care, but two of my friends went this route
with great success.
There are two ways to obtain child care provider lists - the Department of
Human Services, State of MN, maintains a complete list on their web site.
This list can be broken down by zip code, community name etc. The site is
www.dhs.state.mn.us/licensing When you get there you will note a bar
across the top - click on children and then you will reach the 'look up'
link.
The Resources for Child Caring 651-641-0305 has a contract to provide
child care referrals and will cheerfully provide you with information
about any area you are interested in. They can also give you information
about which child cares have openings.
When you identify a family child care provider that you are interested in,
please call us at 612-348-3883 and we can provide you with information
about complaints the providers may have had, parent evaluations that we
have received etc. If you have any other questions, please call us
at 612-348-3883 and we will be happy to help you.
