on Monday and Tuesday, August 28 and 29. Welcome activities for first-year
students begin on Wednesday, August 30 and for transfer students on August 31,
all the way through to Labor Day on Monday, September 4.
On Thursday, August 31, the Gopher football opening game at TCF Bank Stadium
(on the East Bank side of campus) vs. the University of Buffalo Bulls will kick
off at 6 p.m., with campus parking lots open at 2 p.m. (Also that day, the MN
Twins play a mid-day home game at Target Field, and the MN Vikings will have an
evening home game at US Bank Stadium downtown.) Please take care and be safe
while driving, bicycling, and walking.

The new Bell Museum of Natural History and Planetarium will open in Summer,
2018, but if you havenāt been by the new museum under construction at the
corner of Larpenteur and Cleveland in Falcon Heights, take a look.
