Banking January 19, 2016 — February 5, 2016
This 3-week training program can build your professional and customer service
skills needed for success in a bank teller position. Included is a first
interview with local bank managers looking for individuals who are ready to
start their career in banking. A monetary award is given upon class completion.
Class Hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00 am—3:00 pm
Public Sector Administration Pathways February 1, 2016 - December 2016
This 10-month training program, in partnership with Hennepin County and MCTC,
prepares you to enter into public sector administration working in government
counties or similar organizations assisting individuals and county staff. It
offers 9 credits upon successful completion of the program. You will focus on
topics such as problem solving, conflict resolution, stress management, and
heightened oral and verbal communication. A monetary award is given upon class
completion.

Building Operations Technician February 2, 2016 - December 2016
An 11-month training program in specialized building operations skills. Upon
graduation, you will be prepared for high wage careers in facilities
engineering, operations, and maintenance. The 11 credit certification you earn
can be applied towards MCTC’s HVAC diploma program and you'd also be prepared
to take the Boiler's Class B License exam. An on-the-job internship with a
housing association is included. A monetary award is given upon class
completion.

Healthcare PLUS February 8—June 20, 2016
This 5-month program can enhance your computer and professional skills to
prepare for positions like Patient Assistant Coordinator. You’ll get hands-on
experience at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, organizing and managing the details
to support nurses providing patient care, plus you’ll get a first interview
upon completion. Qualified participants can also earn credits from MCTC. A
monetary award is given upon class completion.

Hennepin County Office Specialist February 8—March 18
This 6-week training, in partnership with Hennepin County, will focus on
further developing your administrative skills in order to help you land a
position as a Hennepin County Office Specialist III. This program includes 2
weeks of job shadowing at Hennepin County, providing you with a hands-on
experience in the Office Specialist role. A monetary award is given upon class
completion.
Class Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am—3:00 pm.
Health Advocate Pathways February 11, 2016 - December 2016
This 10-month training program in partnership with Hennepin County and MCTC
prepares you for Health Advocate positions. The program will focus on topics
such as medical terminology, healthcare structure, human services, and customer
service. It offers 8 credits to qualified individuals upon successful
completion of the program. A monetary award is given upon class completion.
