allowed to pass the age of 50 without some sort of wing-nut hobby that
shapes my world view and gives meaning and focus as the world crumbles
around us.
I can't seem to garden or carry a tune and I'm not much for elected
office. I decided I want to dip my toe in to the world of HAM radio. I
built a small radio from a kit as a child and I've used the odd UHF
walkie talkie, but I consider myself at the start of the HAM journey. A
blank slate. A newborn.
I don't know what equipment is best to get started? if I should work on
an operators license? Can I really talk to the moon? If you have
knowledge in this area and would like to share it, either remotely or in
person while social distanced, I would be in your debt.
Thank you neighbors for your time and attention.
