History, Culture, Language and Art. The Ojibwe Studies Teacher will also act as
a Cultural Liaison at Augsburg Fairview Academy.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching license in American Indian Language & Culture (or the
ability to obtain such)
Enthusiasm for the subject matter
Deep knowledge in content area
Keen expertise in pedagogical best practices
Excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and students

Experience teaching in an urban high school
Teaching experience in a charter school
Experience collaborating with students, families, and the diverse communities

factors
Desire to be an adviser for extracurricular activities
All qualities of a Star Teacher (Haberman)
Training and experience with Circle of Courage, including RAP and LSCI
Training and experience with Love & Logic
