This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with Philip Temple and gain
a deeper understanding about MMP and the other systems in the referendum.
Dr Philip Temple ONZM is a Dunedin writer and historian, author of more
than 40 books, a number of them prize-winners. He has been researching,
writing and speaking about MMP since 1990 and was a leading member of
the original campaign to achieve MMP in 1992 and 1993. In 1998 he was
given the Wallace Award by the Electoral Commission for his ‘significant
contribution to public understanding of electoral matters’. His German
connections have enabled him to keep abreast of developments in the home
of MMP and he recently visited Scotland to see the workings of MMP there.
