ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking dynamic individuals to fill positions as Program Facilitators
who will help to lead interactive four to six hour-long programs for 100+
students, grades fourth-12th. If you enjoy public speaking, working in teams
and inspiring kids to make their communities better, Youth Frontiers may be the
place for you.
STATUS:
This is a full-time, 10-month position, and is eligible for full benefits.
ABOUT YOU:
• You remember what it was like to be a kid. You can speak kid.
• Passionate about working with youth and posses a strong desire to make a
difference in young peoples’ lives.
• You bring excitement and energy to large group settings and you don’t mind
looking a little silly to help create a welcoming environment for others.
• Have the ability to connect with people one-on-one and in a large group,
whether they are adults or youth.
• Curious and fearless. Committed to personal growth and development.
• Have pursued or plan to pursue higher education. If you haven’t pursued
formal education, you have the experience and skills that allow you to
communicate and function on a high level with diverse audiences.
• Have the flexibility to travel overnight, 40-60 days over the course of the
school year.
• Although you may not be able to leap tall buildings (probably), you can lift
and maneuver 50 lbs.
YOU MIGHT ALSO:
• Have a couple of years of previous youth work experience.
• Have previous experience with public presentation or performance.
• Play a musical instrument like piano or guitar, have previous vocal
performance experience or the ability to spontaneously burst into song.
• Be completely fine with the occasional random, midday, dance party.
ABOUT THE JOB:
• You will help to execute programs by being an active part of a program team.
• You will help transport equipment to and from program sites.
• You will help cultivate relationships with program participants including
school staff and volunteers.
• You will attend regular staff meetings and various work-related functions,
including ongoing training, special events and projects throughout the year.
• You will perform other job-related duties as apparent or assigned.
