I have attached an infographic showing how public engagement has
changed over the past 30 years in Salt Lake City. The second
attachment is a list of policies, tools and expectations for Salt Lake
City.
I think we are beginning to bridge the equitability gap. I think the
pressure of looking someone in the eyes and saying No will always be
somewhat present. If the engagement platforms can refine their process
and build confidence in the decision maker that the commenter is truly
a citizen under their representation, and the feedback prepared in a
consumable form for the decision maker only then will the gap begin to
close.

will see in the write up that we have tried a variety of tools and
have a pretty good toolbox.
