Broadband is an essential resource for access to education, jobs, civic
participation, healthcare and culture. However, to ensure the benefits of
broadband access reaches every American requires carefully crafted support
programs. Our panelists explain the latest data and research on the state
of low-income broadband adoption, describe what it takes on the ground to
work with a low-income community to spur broadband adoption and highlight
efforts by government at the federal level to support digital inclusion and
broadband adoption.
Panelists include
John Horrigan of the Pew Research Center
Amina Fazlullah of the Benton Foundation
Casey Sorenson of PC’s for People
Angela Siefer of the National Digital Inclusion Alliance
Andy Schwartzman of Georgetown’s Institute for Public Representation
Sarah Morris of the Open Technology Institute of the New America Foundation
