Come join us tomorrow, Sunday, March 5th, at the Rondo Community Outreach
Library 461 N Dale in St. Paul, for our annual winter sowing workshop. We're
partnering with Frogtown Farm, Urban Farm & Garden Alliance, Ramsey County
Master Gardeners along with many of our gardening/growing neighbors!
We'll be available from 130pm - 330pm in the Youth Room to share with you how
to successfully start seeds outside either in the snow-or just on really cold
winter days!
We'll be assisting community neighbors with creating their own winter sown
container. Some supplies will be available to get you going on this easy to do
technique. Stations will be set-up that participants can move through. You'll
be assisted at each station with seed selection, prepping containers, soil &
seeding and lastly labeling & taping.
Stop by for 10-15 minutes of free fun!
If you have clean, clear, plastic containers please bring them. Especially
good are plastic gallon milk jugs, 2 liter soda bottles, large salad tubs,
chicken rotisserie containers, plastic sheet cake "boxes", or any food service
clear plastic container that is greater about 6" tall.
We will also have a repeat workshop next month at Frogtown Farm, 941 LaFond in
St. Paul
"Winter Sowing workshop with Frogtown Farm."
