Movement happening at Lake and Nicollet, connected to the Reopen
Nicollet vision. Just met with Horn Towers resident council to get
their input, and have been scheduled for the Lyndale Neighborhood
Association (LNA)'s "general membership" meeting at the end of the
month (the 26th).
Walgreens developer Semper made an offer for the Super Valu parcel
which was accepted - to date, Walgreens has indicated it will propose
something more (bigger, with a mix of uses including residential) than
a one story commercial building. The city is moving forward on getting
an appraisal for the neighboring parcel (Kmart) and talking to Sears
and the property owners of that site.
Looking forward to more conversations with neighbors about this.
