Speakers: Ian Crumpton, a resident who has had his house retrofitted
with solar power and is now building a wind generator.
John Veix, of Solar electric Specialists. John has over 15 years'
experience in the renewables industry both with on-grid and off-grid
systems and applications, as well as energy efficiency.
Mike Evans, of Voltmotive (NZ) Ltd, who will speak on powering
vehicles with electricity
Alister Gardiner, who in his job as an energy researcher has recently
been involved in the development of a wave energy conversion system
and will talk more broadly about marine energy technologies.
Nick Gerritsen, who will speak about the journey taken by the NZ
based Aquaflow Group that after seven years has reached the point of
being able to take multi-biomass feed stocks (like forestry and
agricultural waste and algae) through to drop-in petrol, diesel and
jet fuel at prices that are economic today and don't require subsidy.
