All posts in the topic Franklin Avenue Planning Task Forces start on Monday (Short link)
A week and a half ago we had a great Franklin Avenue Planning community meeting at Matthews Center. The next step is to start working in the four task forces that were decided on at that meeting. These meetings will start next week and will go on for five weeks. Many of you have already signed up to participate in one of these task forces. Whether you attended the Saturday meeting or not, you can still sign up if you did not already. In signing up for a task force, you agree to try to participate in the 5 meetings between mid-May and mid-June. You will help develop a piece of the vision for Franklin Avenue, write recommendations, and suggest summer test projects. The task force meeting times are as follows. Please note, we have adjusted the times for the Local Business Vitality and Community Involvement groups to try to get more participants. 1) Visual Identity / Landscaping - Mondays at 6:30 pm 2) Movement - Tuesdays at noon 3) Community Involvement / Crime and Safety - Wednesdays at 6:30pm 4) Local Business Vitality / Gateways - Fridays at 8:30am (The meetings will start the week of May 12. We are still working on meeting locations.) If you really want to sign up for a task force but none of these times work for you, let us know. If this is a common problem we can make further adjustments.
