the way they maintain their store. Stopped by for something today and found
the entire property covered with litter again. There is a dumpster on the north
end of the lot (behind the building, but open to Chicago avenue) that is
overflowing and garbage all over that north parking lot. On the south side
there is garbage all along the lot between the sidewalk an the parking lot, as
well as between the sidewalk and the street. Also all over their parking lot
and front entrance area.
All the other (much smaller) business on Chicago seem to do a far better job
keeping their property clear, as do the residents. This is simply a choice
they have made to be disrespectful to our neighborhood. They need to assign
someone every day (perhaps twice a day) to walk the property and pick up all
the garbage. As a secondary issue, although they finally made some plantings
on the west side of the building (I don't recall if it was this spring or last
year), but they let most of them die and have not maintained that either. This
would not fly in Linden Hills.
If you feel the same as I do, please contact Elizabeth Glidden's office and
send a email to Walgreen corporate office (via their web site).
Thanks,
Erik
