Framingham event tonight (5/30) from 7-9 p.m. at BRACE, 560 Waverly Street in
Framingham. This event will be about immigration and will feature Marion
Davis, Director of Communications for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee
Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), Diego Low from the MetroWest Worker Center and Chief
Trask from the Framingham Police Department.
Here in the U.S. we are currently facing the most hostile environment for
immigrants in recent memory. Everyone has questions and concerns, whether you
are an immigrant, or a concerned citizen about the issues involved in our
immigration policy. This event will be informational for all residents of
Framingham, and our speakers will answer your questions and offer insights and
facts that will help us all better understand this issue. The LWV is committed
to serving our city by being a strong and unifying force in our community.
Each of these organizations joining us for this important event brings
experience, support, and resources to help us all work together on this issue.
Join us for this event to learn more about the current state of immigration
policy in our country, and to find out more about the resources available to
help if you are an immigrant with questions about your future.
