deal with Clear Channel where they pay the city in exchange for putting up
an electronic billboard on Old Conn Path. (Facing the mass pike I assume).
I say no. It’s ugly and many homeowners will be looking at that sign every
day either on their daily commutes or from their living rooms. Property
values will decrease. I don’t think we should be getting money and
subjecting ourselves to this electronic eyesore. If Newton or other towns
want to have billboards that’s their business. But I think putting a sign
near a neighborhood would be unfair and possibly against the federal law of
highway beautification act.
