I vote yes to the motion put forward by Charlie Swope, seconded by Mike
Fratto.
Questions that do not affect my vote:
Am I correct to assume that what Bob Spaulding suggests below was
discussed at the last EC meeting and that old and new SPIF members will
automatically be subscribed to the Announcement Forum? Will there be
an Announcements Digest?

I vote yes.
This was my second choice, but since we do not have IRV yet, :>), and Charlie
wants
to run this, I'll go along with it.
If this method fails, the back-up should be choice #1, for the same reasons
that
Kelly said and that it is a much simpler plan.
