The Framingham League of Women Voters (LWV) is taking to the airwaves today
with our new monthly show, *State of the City*. In partnership with Access
Framingham, the League will do a live 30 minute show once a month, starting
on Sunday, February 18th, at 7pm, which can be seen on your local access
station (RCN: Channel 3; Comcast: Channel 9; Verizon: Channel 43). We will
be taking calls from viewers who may have questions for our guests.
Jim Pillsbury, Voters Services Chair for the Framingham LWV, and the
producer of Jim Pillsbury Live on Access Framingham will be hosting State
of the City. Guests for our first show will be Sue Bernstein, former member
of the Planning Board, and Mary Kate Feeney who was Chairwoman of
Framingham First, a group that campaigned for the establishment of the
Charter Commission. We will be talking about the process of changing our
form of government, and some of the issues that have been of interest to
residents as this process moves forward.
“This is a great opportunity for the LWV here in Framingham to meet our
goal of reaching residents of the city to keep them informed about what is
happening with their government. The ability to participate from home makes
it available to just about everyone in Framingham. This will be a friendly
and informative 30 minute show once a month with guests who can help us
understand the issues of concern to residents” says Pillsbury.
Tune in and learn more about what is happening in our city.
