I should like to enter this conversation regarding over 55 living facilities.
For me its simple , I am one, I am over 55, and was forced to move after 37
years of residence from 8 Murphy Circle,
Framingham,Ma to 19 Whispering Brook Rd. in Marlboro, Mass.
You see my wife and I had no choice, we were quite happy residing in
Framingham, but had nowhere to go. We had to leave all our friends and contacts
and move.
I found the town of Framingham remiss in optioning over 55 units and it would
be a win, win situation. How simple, we have no children in the school system,
that’s clear profit, someone purchasing our property had children who impact
your schools. As a condo owner we pay for plowing ,purging fire hydrants ,road
repair, and have limited fire and police protection. We are in fact a PRIVATE
WAY, and are not entitled to town services. The mayor of Marlboro, refers to us
as a “cash cow”. On the down side , we will use ambulance services at a higher
rate, this is a given. Bottom line it is much more to the advantage of the town
to allow this type of building. I hope I have enlightened some of you to the
advantages of over 55.

8. I hope neighbors will turn out at the next ZBA hearing on Tuesday
December 15th (Blumer Room) to help ensure that the Marist property is
developed to its best and highest use.
