http://e-democracy.org/design - uplift for our GroupServer site. This
something I shared with Bill Bushey and our designer Tim Leisio.
Please don't forward publicly, but we have permission to nose around
this project. They decided not to pursue due to the cost to bring to
market.
See next two notes ...
Say, I just spoke with the funder of this mothballed "uber" project in the UK:
http://design.pureinnovation.com/lobbi/
User name is lobbi
password is lobbi88
http://lobbi.org still exists as a project with small investments ...
he wants us to consider a mobile app, I told him we are focusing on
mobile responsive design first ...
Anyway, he said come on into their draft design work (they built no back-end).
See:

When I mention the future of making our Topic index look more news
headline/social wall like, they do a pretty good job.
Also in the Group area:

While I don't like the nested stuff with comments - the idea of
presenting the lead off topic post more like a blog post and the
replies more like comments is attractive.
In fact, down the road we might consider truncating replies off at ten
lines or something unless they are shorter.
