(Weds. October 14), along 36th, 37th, and 38th Avenues, and along Seabury
Avenue, between 24th Street and the tunnel into Brackett Park. Details are
listed below:
*The break-ins were between 4-5AM.
*The intruders took screens off of a number of neighbors’ windows.
*The two actual entries were houses with windows left open. The intruders
also checked for open doors.
*The intruders entered homes that were occupied, but left when the
occupants made their presence known.
*No damage was done to the homes, or their owners, though items were stolen.
*The police have been involved, and gathered some fingerprints.
Neighbors are encouraged to check and lock doors and windows regularly. In
addition, motion lights, cameras and alarm systems may be helpful.
Our block is creating a contact list, so that we can altert one another if
garage doors or windows are left open, suspicious activity is noted, etc.
You may want to do the same on your block, if you haven't already.
Let's stick together, take care of ourselves and each other, and stay safe.
