* Hello - My name is Dakota and I would like to introduce you to attend a
local Yoga and stretching exercises.
Simply Yoga & Stretching are a series of movements and postures that
provide you with strength, posture and balance... the three essentials for
retaining and regaining movement and achieving your active self.
I come from Iyengar based Yoga training and have spent many years helping
people learn to be functional; simply to do what they need and like to do
with ease and comfort. I am approachable in my teaching style and love to
see folk achieve their goals. I have a number of years experience, I
have worked intensively with 3rd age citizens, and Yoga people from
beginners and intermediate level. I love a class that feels free to give
feedback and interact during class if they need to check something. Safety
is important so all class members will fill out a general health history
to ensure we protect any old or new strains/injuries. Time for a
relaxation technique is included in each class. I have a current
comprehensive First Aid Certificate and am a Registered Exercise
Professional with qualifications.
I welcome you to join our journey in the new year.

* Cracroft Community Centre - Old Stone House, 30 Shalamar Drive has
finally been repaired after quite severe earthquake damage. The City
Council have with their contractors done an excellent repair of the
building. Replacing all the roofing tiles as one small example of the
workmanship carried out.
Due to public interest Old Stone House will be open for a 'walk thru' on
Saturday 17 February 2018 from 1.30p.m. to 4.30p.m. After that date we
will be taking bookings again running the building as previously Monday to
Thursday for Community groups and Friday, Saturday and Sunday for
commercial hire.
The Committee will be welcoming back again Rotary every Wednesday night
and the Lions every second and fourth Thursday. Regrettably the Bridge
Club will not be returning. Also, the volunteer gardeners who for many
years have
maintained the gardens have retired and the gardens will now be under the
care of the Christchurch Botanical Gardens.
The Committee would like to acknowledge publically the work of Peter
Rogers (member) who has worked so tirelessly to make this building up and
running again suitable for hire to the public.
The annual meeting of the Cracroft Community Centre will be held on Monday
5 March 2018 at 7.30p.m. All are welcome.
If you have any questions or queries re the building or hire of same
please contact Olwyn Rudd Ph.942.8678 or email <email obscured>

regarding road safety.
