Subject: MinneBar is April 7. Registration now open

MinneBar 7
MinneBar is happening again on April 7, 2012 (yes, we know that is the
day before Easter. Oops!).
The first batch of tickets has been released: http://minnebar.eventbrite.com
We're also looking for sessions. After you register, take a moment to
think of what you'd like to talk about at MinneBar, and add it to the
session planning tool.
Looking back at 7 years of minne✱
This year will mark the seventh year that we have been organizing
Minnesota's BarCamp and DemoCamp. In 2006, about 130 people joined
together to share knowledge and network. This year, we expect 1,200
people to register for MinneBar, and more than 2,500 to attend our
events!
We've had a lot of sessions (over 250) and demos (over 110) since we
started, and now we finally have a way to share all that history with
you: http://wiki.minnestar.org
Just like open source software gets better with a community, so does
minne✱. If you have content from a minne✱ event, please help out by
contributing.
Sponsor Spotlight: BarCamp Tour
Yes! Our friends from BarCamp Tour will be returning to MinneBar again
this year. They were super impressed with our community and wanted to
help out again, and will be re-joining as an Event Sponsor. This is a
great chance to learn from some of the best in the software industry,
so we are excited to welcome them back!
Looking for annual sponsors and event sponsors
Putting on a high-quality day-long conference for over 1,000 people
plus 3-4 other events per is fun and awesome, but not cheap. We rely
on sponsors to keep our events free for attendees. We need annual
sponsors (covers all events from this MinneBar until the next one) and
sponsors for MinneBar itself. We also have a new, more affordable
level -- think "Community Supporter for Companies".
If your company wants to get in front of the best group of tech people
in the area, please contact us.
Big News: minne✱ is now a 501(c)3 non-profit
Last but not least, we are excited to announce that we are now a
501(c)3 non-profit with an educational mission. This is an important
step on our path to securing the future of MinneBar and MinneDemo and
building a lasting organization dedicated to helping Minnesotans
educate each other and innovate together.
Thank you for your support along the way.
