*- Thurs, Oct 9, 6:00 p.m. - SENA Graffiti Task Force "Hennepin Overland
Train Museum" Mural Project* - This mural project is actually a series of 8,
4'x4' 'mini-murals' painted by volunteers that will be attached to the
museum walls on Saturday, Oct 25. Volunteers will be given just over two
weeks to complete the boards (All mural boards have been claimed by
neighborhood volunteers - thank you!) In the intervening two weeks, the
museum walls will be given an entirely new paint job. Feel free to stop by
to see some of the initial designs, and encourage those who are tackling
these projects. Hennepin Overland Train Museum Parking lot (2501 E 38th St)
*- Sat, Oct 11, 10:00-5:00 p.m. 8th Annual Twin Cities Book Festival.* The
annual Twin Cities Book Festival is a celebration of books and reading that
is free and open to the general public. The eighth annual Twin Cities Book
Festival will once again feature exhibits, readings, book arts, used book

*- Thurs, Oct 16, 6:30 p.m. - The "Cedar Avenue Restoration Effort"* is
pleased to announce its first speaking event, Mr. Nick Koch of HGA
Architects and Engineers will be speaking on his experiences with the
"Lyndale Avenue Task Force" project. Topics will include: Keys to success -
Political alignments - Segmenting the street strategies - The street section
- What goes on along the street - Whatever else you suggest. This is a
planning meeting. Bring your notebooks, listening ears, ideas and an
