Hello ladies of Standish-Ericsson!
I manage a women's broomball team that plays indoors at Augsburg late Sep-late
Nov ("Fall" season) & Jan-Feb ("Winter" season). Our team has been together
for a few years, but we've lost some players this past year due to injury &
relocation so we're looking for some replacements (in particular a goalie since
ours is having knee problems).
We welcome experienced players as well as those curious to try broomball for
the first time (we'll teach you the game - it's quite a bit like hockey, but
uses special shoes instead of skates & a ball instead of a puck). I've been
playing the sport for about 10 years and can vouch for the fact that it's a
great way to get some exercise in the winter & have a lot of fun. Also, if
you've played co-ed broomball before and are looking to improve your skills,
playing women's broomball is an excellent way to do that because you get to
handle the ball more often (no offense to our gentlemen players out there).
We'll be starting our Fall season at Augsburg in a few weeks so please contact
