I hope there is some interest in the following. I wrote the following
letter this morning to Pat Diamond, Deputy Criminal Attorney for Hennepin
County. In case you're wondering how this could be Minneapolis-specific,
Air Force One will probably touch down at the Naval Air Base which touches
on the southern border of Minneapolis.
Dear Criminal Deputy County Attorney Pat Diamond,
I wish to inform you that at 2 pm today, Monday, April 28, I will be
bringing a Writ of Mandamus to the Clerk of District Court with the
intention of gaining a hearing before a District Judge and having him order
the County Attorney to bring charges of Murder, Conspiracy to fix oil prices
and Conspiracy to distribute heroin in Hennepin County against George W.
Bush. I want the County Attorney to present these charges to a Grand Jury,
and it is my belief that a Grand Jury will return a Bill of Indictment
against George W. Bush.
In his reckless pursuit of profits for Halliburton, his family business,
George W. Bush has caused the deaths of three members of the Armed Forces
from Hennepin County. He must be held accountable for his wanton disregard
of human life, and he must be charged with MURDER IN THE THIRD DEGREE,
Section 609.195.
As head of the Bush family, George W. Bush is the nominal head of
Halliburton. Halliburton has control of the allocation of oil leases for
Iraq. Through this allocation, George W. Bush has actual control of 25% of
the world's known oil reserves. His longtime close family friends, the
Saudi royal family, control 40% of the world's reserves. The last time the
two families met in Saudi Arabia, oil supplies shrunk and the price of crude
oil has since doubled. There is probable cause to believe a conspiracy to
fix the price of oil exists with George W. Bush and the Saudi royal family.
He must be charged with violation of Section 325.53: PROHIBITED
CONSPIRACIES.
We know that just prior to the Bush-initiated invasion, Afghanistan was
producing 0% of the world's heroin supply. Through an alliance with the
opium warlords, the U. S. overthrew the Taliban government of Afghanistan
and now Afghanistan produces 90% of the world's heroin. Under the direction
of George W. Bush, the U. S. Armed Forces protect these opium fields, and
the CIA through its longtime contacts with the Mafia ensures that the opium
leaves Afghanistan and is manufactured into heroin and distributed to the U.
S. Opiate related deaths are on the rise in Hennepin County. In 1999 there
were 27 deaths and up to September of 2000 there were 36. George W. Bush
should be prosecuted for GREAT BODILY HARM CAUSED BY DISTRIBUTION OF DRUGS,
Section 609.228.
How can we convince our young people in Hennepin County that life is
precious if we allow George W. Bush to put his personal profits ahead of the
sanctity of life? How can we convince our young people that stealing is
wrong if we allow George W. Bush to rob us at the gas station? How can we
convince our young people that narcotic drugs are bad if we allow the
world's biggest drug dealer to fly into Minneapolis without holding him
accountable.
I ask your office to please cooperate bringing this criminal to justice.
Most sincerely,
Ed Felien

of the Writ of Mandamus. I invite any who are interested to join us.

I'm not an attorney, nor do I profess to be one, but this letter ostensibly
sent to the Deputy County Attorney is awfully blasphemous. I assume that
there is hard, observable, measureable and documentable evidence for each of
these claims, outside of the emotional disdain for the current
administration. While I'm not the biggest fan of the administration, either
(though probably due to an altogether different set of reasons), I find it
difficult to see any credibility from the point of view of the Bush critics
when things like this are written. I suspect the Twin Cities are going to
embarrass themselves enough during the convention (and we should probably
apologize ahead of time to the nation), but this sort of stuff is kind of
silly, IMHO.

Thank you for your interest and concern for the honor and integrity of the City
of Minneapolis and County of Hennepin.
A more complete description of the charges against George W. Bush are available
on this link: http://www.southsidepride.com/arrest.html
I would be happy to send a complete version of the Writ (eight pages) by return
email to anyone who is interested.
I think it is a disgrace that this fiend is allowed in civilized company. Like
Rumsfeld in Paris and Pinochet in Spain, he will be a hunted criminal after he
leaves office.
I, for one, refuse to be a good German. If you find that treasonous, then you
should re-read the Constitution.

If the police will not "help" Eddy out, I think he should just march down there
himself and place Bush under "Citizen's Arrest". Heck, Eddy should deputize a
bunch of fellow citizens to help him secure the prisoner. Now that will make
some national news for Eddy Felien. To be sure Felien's action is an attempt to
draw attention, and to be sure he will be laughed at by the County Attorney, so
why not do the arrest himself and really get attention.
I bet the whole thing would make CNN and all those cable networks, as well as
the other national media outlets. The video of the Secret Service take-down
would probably even be featured on U-Tube. Now wouldn't that be cool! And that
would set the stage for something Ed could take "Pride" in and to "Write
something worth reading". Might even give him material for a Dylan like song as
he "Did something worth the writing"!
Minneapolis and the Twin-Cities are going to be a lot of fun during the
Republican Convention, so there is no use getting up tight about it. We should
all just sit back and watch the crazies entertain us. And hopefully they (the
protesters),and all those Republican "Fat-Cats", will spend lots of money, give
us plenty of laughs, and then get out of town without too much damage.
I know our MinneapolisPolice Departmentis going to score huge on equipment and
pay. Just hope the bar business gets a lot of benefit. Those bar ownersneed it
after the losses they had over the cigarette ban. Though I hear the pot
business is really booming. With that you can smoke and get high at the same
time! Maybe if those tight-butted Republicans tried it they would mellow out
some. Ed should maybe have a press conference suggesting that to them.

Having read both your posting and your web page, I am immediately
struck by the amount of unsubstantiated accusations contained
therein. Understand, I'm no fan of the President- not by a LONG
shot. But this rises above the level of distaste for and disagreement
with how the man has conducted his job as President. You're actually
suggesting the man should be arrested and charged with violation of MN
statutes: murder, conspiracy to smuggle heroin, and conspiracy to fix
oil prices.
If we are to seriously consider the concept, the question arises: have
you any actual *evidence*, other than the perennial internet favorites
of citing his membership in the Skull and Bones Society and the "oil
conspiracy", that the President is guilty of any of the aforementioned
charges? In any case, indicting a sitting President for murder as a
result of actions taken in his role as Commander-in-Chief? Good luck
with that. Good luck with all of it, frankly.
It's certainly not "treasonous" to present your writ. A waste of time
and energy? Certainly. Ridiculous? Most likely. But treasonous?
No. You have a right to speak your piece. Others have a right to
tell you they think you're wrong. :-)

The burden of proof to present an indictment, or to arrest someone, is not
beyond a reasonable doubt, it is just that there be a prima fascia (on the
face of it) case, and that it is assumed that more investigation will occur
to flesh out the evidence.
I believe that there is certainly a prima fascia case here, if anyone is
willing to look objectively at the facts of the last 7 years.
There are certainly some interesting issues here to be thought about and
litigated, issues such as the kind of immunity that Pirochet claimed in
France and Chile, the question of discriminatory prosecution (why only Bush,
and if this is truly a conspiracy, would that not be a more appropriate (or
additional) charge.
There are also interesting questions about the responsibilities and
requirements of cities, states, and citizens of this country. (Note to
forum manager- I am talking about Minneapolis here".) The "Good German"
epithet may smack of ethnocentrism, but there was a legal precedent
emphasized at the Nuremburg hearings that did hold governmental employees,
and citizens responsible for not finding out and taking action to stop the
illegal actions of their government and its leadership.
There is no doubt that our government has created "Death and torture camps"
and that people are incarcerated there because of their religion. Your
government is bringing death penalty charges against people based upon
"evidence" derived through torture and without due process. This should give
pause to even (or especially) the most terrified (terrorized), among us.
I support Ed's action, and hope that we look into it more deeply.

Thank you for your interest and concern for the honor and integrity of the
City of Minneapolis and County of Hennepin.
A more complete description of the charges against George W. Bush are
available on this link: http://www.southsidepride.com/arrest.html
I would be happy to send a complete version of the Writ (eight pages) by
return email to anyone who is interested.
I think it is a disgrace that this fiend is allowed in civilized company.
Like Rumsfeld in Paris and Pinochet in Spain, he will be a hunted criminal
after he leaves office.
I, for one, refuse to be a good German. If you find that treasonous, then
you should re-read the Constitution.

It is also outlined how to set this up on the AfterDowningStreet websiter here

It was to be done on july 16th of last summer so we are a little late
to the party. And they admit it was more to get their representatives
attention for not signing on to some impeachment bill by Kucinich.

We have a hearing date and we welcome all readers to come down and witness
democracy in action:
Update on the progress of the Writ of Mandamus to order the County Attorney
to prepare
charges against George W. Bush and present those charges to a Grand Jury for
the purpose of seeking an indictment:
There will be a Hearing on May 22, 2008, at 1:30 pm in Courtroom C-1655 at
the Hennepin County Government Center on the Petition for a Writ of
Mandamus. Judge Gary Larson will preside.
The principal legal question will be whether the Hennepin County Attorney
has jurisdiction to charge George W. Bush with a felony. Did the crime
occur in Hennepin County? Were his actions those of a private citizen or
part of his duties as President of the United States?
In the case of murder in the third degree: the crime, the lie and the
deception that led to their deaths, occurred in Hennepin County when young
men believed George W. Bush that they were serving their country and
defending it from terrorism when they were actually being sent to Iraq to
steal oil concessions from the Russians and the French and create profits
for the Bush family business--war profiteering and Halliburton.
The price fixing of oil by Bush and his Saudi friends has had a direct
effect on the price of gasoline at every service station in Hennepin County.
We all pay the price for his greed.
The collusion with the opium warlords and the CIA to transport opium and
manufacture it into heroin and distribute it results in dozens of deaths
each year in Hennepin County.
Does George W. Bush have immunity from prosecution? The U. S. Constitution
says Senators and Representatives shall be privileged from arrest, but it
does not grant the same immunity to the President. And the Tenth Amendment
to the Constitution says, The powers not delegated to the United States by
the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the
States respectively, or to the people.
I believe the people of Hennepin County want justice to be served and that
this criminal must be held accountable for his crimes. We ask the court to
command the County Attorney to prepare charges against George W. Bush.

As to the Writ of Mandamus, it seems a good thing to have the official records

I just read the words "How can we convince our young people in Hennepin County
that life is precious". Does that include defenseless unborn human beings or
just a select group? I'm a moderate to conservative person politically but I
would be the first to admit that George Bush has been a very poor President and
a huge disappointment to those who supported him. Having said that, I also
know that it has been completely counterproductive for those on the left to
keep being obsessed with the idea of "getting" Bush. He is basically gone, get
over it. He would not have been reelected in 2004 if the left wouldn't have
been so obnoxious in their attacks on him. There is a way to constructively
disagree and maybe change the minds of those on the other side. Then there is
a way to obnoxiously disagree and just drive the other side deeper into their
positions. I was ready to vote for anyone but Bush in 04 then Michael Moore or
some other far left liberal would show up and be obnoxious and disgusting and I
would go back to Bush. You can't insult the opposition and then expect them to
agree with you. We have a pathetic Congress, with a pathetic leadership that
has not achieved any of what they had promised. That's who you should be mad
at. Your own leadership. They promised you everything and gave you nothing.
Have they ended the war? Have they impeached Bush. What about universal health
care. The problem with the left is they have way to much fun playing the role
of protester and rarely are rarely concerned with marketing their message so
that someone cares. How else can you explain that George Bush has been
president for 8 years.

I find it peculiar when one crafts their beliefs based not entirely on the
subject matter, but also who does not endorse said issue. Whatever.
But Wizard's career of ad hominems aside, the issue to me is this: I'm all
for symbolism. I think it's great. Symbolize away. But considering the court
system
1. has to shut down one afternoon a week due to budget issues,
2. and that the court system already has its share of frivolous issues
occurring,
3. and a snowball in Hades has a better chance of survival than this
lawsuit......
....I find this a tremendous waste of taxpayer resources. Listen, Bush is
done in January. He won the last election. I didn't vote for him, either,
but we have to live with it. This suit reminds me of those people who are
still demanding an Ohio recount. Utilizing Hennepin County court time on
this, even in the act of dismissal, just to make some political points, is a
waste of time and money. I'm not an attorney, but I don't believe it
requires a law degree to see that this case is both frivolous and not
Minneapolis/Minnesota/or Hennepin County specific.

Minnesota court rules provide for sanctions and attorney fees for the filing of
frivolous complaints. Has the county attorney filed a motion to have these
imposed in this case?
Filing a frivolous complaint can also subject the attorney involved to
sanctions under the rules of professional responsibility.
I'm not arguing that this suit seeking the writ is frivolous necessarily
(though I would if I were the county attorney); just wondering if sanctions are
being sought.

Hi folks -
The case was filed in Hennepin County, so there's a local angle. But

"waste of time and money"? "frivolous"?
First of all, I paid $292.00 out of my pocket to have my case heard. And I pay
property taxes to Hennepin County and income taxes to the state. And I have an
absolute right to be heard in a court that belongs to all the people in this
state.
Second, I am sorry for you and for all of us if trying to stop the deaths of
soldiers from Hennepin County is a frivolous waste of time. Do you have a
better idea of how to stop the slaughter? I will withdraw my lawsuit if you
can show me a better strategy, and I will work full time for you.
Third, George W. Bush has committed crimes against the people of Hennepin
County and the City of Minneapolis:
He knowingly lied to us about Iraq so that he could enrich Halliburton, his
family business, by stealing the oil leases from France and Russia and by
feeding his war machine that supplies services to troops in combat. His lies
have cost the lives of three young men from Hennepin County. He is guilty of
murder in the third degree.
He steals from all of us through his conspiracy with the Saudi princes to raise
the price of oil, thereby raising the price of gasoline at every service
station in Minneapolis. He has violated Minnesota State law by participating
in a price fixing conspiracy.
He has acted in collusion with the Opium Warlords in Afghanistan to distribute
heroin in Hennepin County, contributing to the deaths of two to three dozen
young people in Hennepin County every year.
Do you disagree with any of the above? Don't waste your time attacking me.
I'm not worth it, and, besides, all it does is energize me. Attack the above
ideas. If you can disprove all three allegations, then I will withdraw my
lawsuit. I bring the lawsuit only for the purpose of getting a fair hearing on
these charges. I cannot document each charge without a lot more time and
space, but these are criminal charges that I bring against George W. Bush, and
I have a right to ask the court to demand the County Attorney investigate these
charges and (if necessary) bring those charges to a Grand Jury and return an
indictment.
If you agree with me that George W. Bush should be held accountable for his
crimes against Hennepin County and the State of Minnesota, then I ask you to
stand with me Thursday, May 22 at 1:30 pm in Judge Gary Larson's Courtroom
C-1655.
You say you want a Revolution,
We'd all love to see the plan.
You say you want a Revolution,
We're all doing what we can.
