So, Boris has done it - well done. What this bodes for Newham and how our Mayor
will handle the situation will be of interest. Who knows, we might get Inner
London status!
Maybe the electorate of Newham will be looking to make a similar change in
2010.

perhaps the present captain on the bridge will see this as a warning shot **I
doubt it** as he is a clone for Mr T.Blair. Looking for directorships for his
time of retirement.

The appointment of Newham man, Ray Lewis, as his deputy mayor for youth is a
surprisingly good start for the new mayor. I didn't vote for him but Boris may
prove to be lot better than many of us expected.
We also laughed when Arnie was running for governor of California .. the same
Arnie who said this: about Boris
prior to the election.

I did vote for Boris Johnson ,and no matter how hard I try I cant
take Arnie seriously I mean he's an actor , what right does someone who
appears in the rubbish that he does have to criticise anyone . What can be
worse than what we had and in some cases still do have ? I would like to see a
change right across the board...I am so sick of Labour the party of the people
YEH RIGHT! too many people live in the past , and think that they are for the
workers ,of course they are and I bet Tony Blair is living in a little workmans
cottage with an allotment , oh no sorry I think labour got rid of most of those
to make way for the Olympics . We need a lot of things in this area, the dance
halls and the local cinemas have gone in favour of housing most of the pubs are
closing down and either being converted into flats or demolished everything is
housing and money..there is nothing to do especially in Forest Gate and the
history of this area and all those that have lived ,worked ,and fought for this
area are forgotten , Oh Yes I am more than sick of Labour and its pretence of
being something it isnt ...Bumbling he may be , act the fool , he may do ,but
maybe he might just do something for the people instead of himself ..maybe he
might just give us back a bit of pride in our country, because over the long
years of the real fools being in charge of things pride is something I dont
feel , not in the country as it today anyway only in the country that was and
the people that made it that way.
