On my way home I almost ran over an owl. Very small. When I stopped the car the
check on it and possible call the raptor center a Coppers hawk swopped down on
me. My dad works with the Raptors center. If it was my house he told me I
should try to catch the owl. But I didn't want anyone to think I was crazy
crawling around their front deck and bushes. He said that the copper is very
terratorial and propable should be moved by a professional otherwise they are
know to attack anyone who gets to close to their nest.
I'm not sure if anyone from the 43/30 ave intersection is on this list. But now
you know why I was acting so weird.

A friend of mine sent me this message. I didn't hear anything but maybe someone
did!
So did any of you hear the helicopter around 11:30 last night? At first I
thought there was more than one - just a lot of traffic to a hospital or
something, then it got really loud and a bright light shown in our north
windows. I got up and looked and it was one helicopter, likely police with a
big spot light hovering over S. Mpls. Possibly following a police chase? I
watched it hover over an area likely to be around Cedar Ave. for 5-10 minutes
before heading north.
Couldn't find anything in the news this morning.
