While many neighborhoods have one-way e-mail newsletters, a handful have
two-way forums. The forums in Minneapolis tend to be restricted to more
neighborhood association type matters (nothing wrong with that).
Based on local volunteer interest, the scope of our planned forums (require
forum host from neighborhood) can be determined locally. Assuming that I start
one in my neighborhood - Standish-Ericsson - I'll opt for the broader
"neighborhood life" option. This means we can talk about the new local deli,
share tips on service providers (plumbers, etc.), as well as public safety and
local planning.
