AF-TV had their grand opening Saturday with Govt. and Town officials there and
it seemed like a success but what you don't know is they do things that I would
say are definitely discriminatory and they act in ways that are not good for
certain peoples civil liberties. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
First, why were there two police officers there? Who paid for them? or did
they come for free?
Also the two police officers that were outside followed Harold into the
building when he arrived, why was that?
Seems like a little bit of police harassment going behind the scenes as they
didn't follow any other people into the building.
Next point is what I perceive is how they discriminate against people.....
consider this.....Harold Wolfe went there to take some pictures as he always
does on things going on in the town or building projects and when he went into
the building he was asked NOT to take pictures by Francesca. Imagine not
having pictures being taken at a grand opening of an event especially an
organization that prides itself with being seem. Have you ever heard of a no
picture policy at a GRAND OPENING.
Yet the Metrowest Daily News took pictures, Sue Petroni took pictures for
Patch.Com and I'm sure others did but Harold was banned from doing so. What
would of happened if he continued to do so? Would he of been arrested. I
wonder??
There was a sign that said NO pictures. What does that mean? Just for Harold
I guess. Why was that? Seems a little discriminatory to me. Some can
some can't.
AF-TV might be the apple of everyones eye but they definitely have some issues
on how they deal with some people in the town and they don't deal with everyone
the same. Some are dealt with more fair that others. Do you think what
happened to Harold was fair?
Bill Rabkin was quoted here
"He hopes many of the new members who signed up at Saturday’s open house will
consider exploring community issues with their own television programs.
“Engagement builds community, and that’s really what we’re all about,” he
said.
Sadly I don't see this happening because they are not as opened to different
views
as they claim and they definitely show favoritism when it comes to certain
people and their causes.
AF-TV has no one watching over them and when things like this are permitted
than what they say and what they do is quite the opposite.
I also heard that Bill Rabkin is now running the educational channel, so now we
have
two cable stations that are being run by one entity ....I thought these were
separate entities??? Is that position a paid position. So PEG is now PE.
Next AF-TV personel will take over the Govt channel.
Shouldn't these stations be kept separate? Maybe someone here can enlighten
