And now, on to the BIG news...
After nearly four years at 4164 Cedar, we're moving! We will be closed from
Dec. 18-Feb. 10 to move from our current home to what, we hope, will be our
forever home at 2235 E. 38th St. (across the street from the old Social
Dance Studio). Here's the official announcement <http://eepurl.com/co4PV1> I
made last week with more details. This move will offer many new
opportunities to serve the community and we need your support to turn our
ideas into reality!
There are three important ways you can support us as we begin this new
journey (in order of importance):
1. Become a member <http://www.courageous-hearts.org/membership.html>
By joining our community, you (and your household) will gain access to
valuable discounts on classes (we've got an awesome line-up for youth
*and* adults coming this spring, including polymer clay, mosaic,
painting, and spoken word!), merchandise, and other perks throughout the
year. Your dollars sustain our mission and ensure we can maintain our
commitment to affordability and access for all youth in our community. As a
501(c)3 nonprofit, your membership is tax deductible
2. Head to our website for action alerts!
<http://www.courageous-hearts.org/move-hearts.html> We'll need help with
packing, moving, and cleaning our old space over the next couple months. If
you have a team of folks at your workplace, church or another community who
would be up for some service opportunities, please email me!
3. Spread the word! Word of mouth has been a cornerstone of our success.
Do you know folks who value the impact that art can have on our personal
and collective well-being? Has someone mentioned the need for more positive
spaces for teens? Are your friends looking for opportunities to get
involved with the community? We can help with all of that! Attached are
some Frequently Asked Questions that can serve as a guide to sharing our
story.
We look forward to partnering with you to continue offering a safe space
where people can create, lead, and connect!
With gratitude,
