Roseville Residential Lot Split Study Group
The Roseville City Council is seeking four members of the public to
serve on a Citizens Advisory Committee. Committee members would meet
with the Roseville Planning Commission to study issues and impacts
related to the subdivision of large, single-family residential lots into
smaller and more numerous lots for future single-family residential
development. Several subdivisions have been proposed in the past year
that have led to questions regarding the appropriate size and shape of
residential lots and the possible preservation of "large lots" in
certain parts of the community. There are a number of public policy
issues, such as impact on affordable housing, ability of the community
to meet housing demand and rights of property owners, that might arise
if the City changes the current residential lot size requirements.
Deadline to apply is February 20 at 4:30 p.m. Applications are available
at City Hall and on the website at
http://www.ci.roseville.mn.us/Commission_Application.doc Mail
applications to Administration Department, 2660 Civic Center Drive,
Roseville, MN 55113 or fax to 651-792-7030.
The City Council plans to appoint committee members at their February 26
meeting. Participants can expect a six to eight week study process
involving up to six evening meetings. Conclusions will be presented to
the City Council for their consideration to change any City policies or
codes. Contact Community Development Director John Stark at
<email obscured> or 651-792-7071 if you have questions
about serving on the Residential Lot Split Study Group.
